Bartender’s Circle Summit Volunteer Information
Thanks for being a volunteer for Bartender’s Circle Summit! Below is all of the information you should need. If you have any questions at all, please contact us at hello@healthybehindthebar.org.
Can't make it?: Please let us know by emailing hello@healthybehindthebar.org - it will help us plan accordingly.
Pre-Event Requirements: This event will have alcohol. All volunteers must read and review the alcohol guidelines and safety information below before their shift. You will be required to show a valid ID when you arrive for your shift.
Where to go: The Bartender’s Circle Summit will be held at the Seattle Center in Loft 2 & Loft 3 on the 3rd floor of the Seattle Center Armory (305 Harrison St, Seattle, WA 98109).
Is there parking? There is some street parking in the area and a pay lot next to MoPOP at 5th Avenue N and Harrison Street (shown below). The paid parking lot at 5th Avenue N and Harrison St is the closest parking lot to the Armory. If you are able to do so, we recommend public transportation.
When to go: You will want to arrive on-site at the time of your scheduled shift. If you cannot remember the shift time that you registered for, you can look for your shift confirmation from Universe.com or email hello@healthybehindthebar.org. If you arrive late for your volunteer shift, we may not be able to accommodate you.
How to find us: When you enter the Armory, you’ll head to the 3rd floor on the north side of the building near the stage. Once you get to the top, you’ll enter the doors into the lobby and check-in there.
What to bring: You must have proper identification with you to volunteer. A water bottle and a snack are also never a bad idea. This event does not have any secured storage so please only bring what you can carry on your person.
What to wear: You will be provided with a volunteer t-shirt to wear during your shift. Please wear comfortable shoes as you will likely be on your feet during your shift.
Can I bring a friend? We still need volunteers for this event and we would appreciate any efforts you make in helping us find more volunteers. Feel free to tell your friends and co-workers, just make sure they register for a shift here.
How does this help? Proceeds from this event go to Healthy Behind the Bar. Healthy Behind the Bar’s mission is to offer microgrants to those in the hospitality industry for emergency health, mental health or dental care. We believe that we are stronger together and through mutual aid we can make sure our community gets what we need.
Perks: Volunteers will receive a ticket to the Carnival of Cocktails event on Saturday, April 1st upon completion of their volunteer shift.
Age Requirement: 21+
Documentation: Upon request, we will gladly supply you with documentation for your volunteer hours for work or school purposes. We do NOT, however, provide court documentation. We do not believe that volunteering is a punishment and under no circumstances will we provide documentation for court-ordered community service.
Training: Our team will be there to show you everything you need to know upon arrival! There are a few very important rules and regulation around alcohol which we will go over with you when you arrive for your shift.
We do ask that you please review this quick alcohol safety information before your shift. It was made for the Carnival of Cocktails but a lot of the same rules will apply to Bartender’s Circle Summit.
